Tabor Trot: 3 Ways to Show Your Support!

.
We’re getting excited for the 2nd ever Tabor Trot – are you? This fun, inspiring and family-friendly walk brings together our entire Donate Life family – and we’ve made it easy to show YOUR support of organ, eye and tissue donation:
  1. Join us in Portland on May 28 - sign up for the Tabor Trot!

  2. Create a personal and/or team Tabor Trot webpage, share it and help fundraise for Donate Life Northwest! We’re thrilled to see that teams are already making and sharing their amazing stories – check them out here.

  3. Can’t attend? Register as a virtual walker (it’s free!). You can create and share a webpage to share your story and support of Donate Life.
Did we mention that all fundraising Trotters – in-person and virtual - will be entered to win really amazing prizes? It’s kind of a win-win situation! So what are you waiting for?

Alissa's Story: A Mother's Gift

"It’s been one of the saving graces that my husband and I have – knowing that our son is still alive, and he is alive in four people."

My name is Alissa Indra. I live in Monmouth, Oregon. And my son, Daniel, donated two kidneys, a liver, and a heart on September 22, 2014. He was eight years old.

Make LIFE Possible This Donate Life Month!

April is National Donate Life Month, a 30-day celebration of local, regional, and national activities to help encourage individuals to register as organ, eye and tissue donors.  Here at Donate Life Northwest we have a number of ways you can participate and make LIFE possible!  Here are some of the exciting things we’re working on!
  • Oregon Governor Kate Brown has issued a proclamation marking April 1st as Donate Life Northwest Day!
  • We are hosting two “Threads of Life” quilt unveilings -- one on April 10 in Medford (RSVP) and another on April 23 in Salem (RSVP).
  • The Morrison Bridge in Portland will be lit in blue and green to celebrate donation on Tuesday evening, April 12!
Celebrate Blue and Green Day on Friday April 15, when the public is encouraged to wear blue and green, all in an effort to spread awareness about donation.  As an added bonus, if you submit a photo of your blue and green flair to Donate Life America’s Facebook page, you could win a $100 Amazon Gift Card!  For more ways to participate, visit www.donatelife.net/blue-green-day.

For more information on volunteer opportunities and other ways you can get involved, visit www.donatelifenw.org/calendar and be sure to follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter! Whatever you do, remember to always encourage others to make LIFE possible by registering as organ, eye and tissue donors!  We wish you a happy National Donate Life Month.  Thank you for your efforts in educating and registering others as organ, eye and tissue donors!
