Non-Emergency Police Contact Information

May 29th, 2017

Dear Members:

Over the weekend, we experienced some vandalism with the newly displayed floral barrels in the area of Church and George - see here.  We heard from a community member about what took place, and had the the Town respond very promptly in cleaning up what was left.  It appears seven of our barrels were removed and then found in Parking Lot 2.  We thank both parties for responding as quickly as they did.

Our Community Officer, Cst. Marc Taraso, has sent us a friendly reminder on what to do should you want to report a crime (after the fact or a crime in progress).  Please contact the main Halton Police number at 905-825-4747 and speak to the communications bureau. The call taker will then be able to make a decision whether to dispatch a patrol officer, or to hold the call for Marc when he is back in the station.  We appreciate having our members share these situations with the BIA as well in order for us to communicate details with the rest of the businesses.

As always, please use best judgment if the crime or situation requires emergency response and call 911.

Should you have any questions or information on what took place over the weekend, please feel free to contact us.

Have a great week,
Adina
