Attention: The REDress Project Oct 4 - 6 on Lakeshore Rd.

Date: October 3, 2017

Dear BIA members,

On Wednesday October 4th, the National Day of Action on Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, the Partnership on Truth & Reconciliation in Oakville in association with local women’s groups presents a “Vital Conversation” on this important topic at Sheridan College. As part of this event, Oakville’s Truth & Reconciliation committee has planned to install The REDress Project in public spaces throughout Oakville.

The REDress project is an installation art project based on an aesthetic response to the more than 1000 missing and murdered aboriginal women in Canada by artist Jamie Black. The dresses will be installed Downtown Oakville on October 4 - 6.
