Downtown Mitigation Strategy Report

Dear BIA members,

The Town of Oakville has released the attached 'Downtown Mitigation Strategy Report' (including Appendix A) and will be presenting the report to the Planning and Development (P&D) Council on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 7:00pm (in the South Atrium at Town Hall).

You are welcome to delegate to the P&D council with your response to the report.  To do so you must email or call 905-815-6015 by noon on Monday September 10th.  Alternatively, Council will invite anyone in the audience that evening wishing to speak to come forward at the appropriate time.

I will be delegating on behalf of the BIA, including the following:
1. Requesting that both parking mitigation options listed in the report be implemented (first hour free using Honk app and free Saturdays)
2. Requesting that financial mitigation measures be reconsidered
3. Requesting clarification and commitment on parking space replacement strategies (to replace those temporarily lost during construction)
4. Requesting increased allocation of budget to the Town's marketing endeavours

You are welcome to attend the meeting to show your support of our delegation.  Your attendance helps to strengthen our position.
