BIA Marketing Coordinator Position


Hello Members,
 
I am pleased to announce that the Marketing Coordinator position has been accepted by Brittany Goettler, currently our Events Coordinator.  Brittany stood out as the best candidate amongst some great applicants given both her knowledge of marketing and Downtown Oakville BIA operations, as well as her enthusiasm for the role and supporting Downtown.
 
This does create a vacancy in our office for the Events Coordinator role.   We will be filling that vacancy as quickly as possible.  While we pursue the permanent candidate, Jenny Knight, a summer student with the BIA for the past two years, will be providing support on a temporary contract basis starting immediately.  Jenny will be working remotely as she is still wrapping up school, however given her knowledge of the role (she worked closely with Brittany on the events during her two summers with us), she is able to be up to speed quickly and can work from files and emails remotely with reasonable ease.  We will be posting the Events Coordinator role as quickly as possible to secure a permanent replacement.
 
I am excited to have the Marketing Coordinator role in place and think it will help us leverage opportunities we were not able to reach given restrictions to resources (man hours).  Brittany has already started implementing some great ideas and has many plans for how to increase our reach to the community and beyond.
