Downtown Oakville BIA 2017 AGM - Follow up

Thank you to those members who were able to attend the 2017 Downtown Oakville BIA AGM
on March 21, 2017. We appreciate your time and input.
As a follow up, below you will find key meeting items and a link to meeting minutes, BIA and Town presentations.

Key meetings items:
BIA presented -
2016 DRAFT audited financials
were accepted by membership. Reserve fund increased by $7,109 due to lower expenses, currently sits at $64,646.
2016 BIA initiatives
2017 BIA planned initiatives
2017 Operating budget
was presented and approved by the membership. 2017 budget is $1.22 million, an increase of $201,534 vs. 2016 actuals. Majority from newly expanded BIA area.
Town presented -
reconstruction update and timeline. Target completion date is December 15 but could be as early as November 7.
review - visual appearance, materials, furniture.
review - scheduled to be completed in 2019/2020, three blocks per year. Timing is Feb - Nov each year with one block under construction at a time, pedestrian access to business to maintained.
Streetscape mitigation plan
in progress - four pillars: construction, communication, marketing, economic. BIA to be involved in plan.
