   Be Aware: Quick Change Scams

Dear BIA Members,

Warning From Halton Police Fraud Bureau:

With the Pan Am Games fast approaching there is the potential to see an influx in the number of counterfeit American bank notes being circulated throughout the Region of Halton.  There is an excellent information pamphlet called “Know Your Money” supplied by the United States Secret Service which outlines all of the different security features located on the various denominations of American bank notes.  Attached to this email is an internet link that will take you directly to an electronic version of the said “Know Your Money” pamphlet that can be used by front line officers as an investigative aid when attempting to determine if an American bank note is in fact counterfeit or genuine.”
