Farmer's Market & Plein Air - Update

Dear BIA Members,

The Farmer's Market and Plein Air Painting begin this weekend - a sure sign that summer is just around the corner!

Plein Air Painting
We have received a lot of very positive feedback from residents and via social media in regards to the Plein Air Painting, and look forward to kicking off this new initiative Sunday June 7.  We are grateful for the support of the Oakville Arts Society, allowing us to introduce this fun new street animation at no cost to the BIA.  Please join me in welcoming the artists this weekend!  As with anything new, we will learn and evolve as we go.  If you have any questions that arise from this first weekend please do not hesitate to contact us so we can address them for the remaining weekends.

Farmer's Market
The Town of Oakville's Farmer's Market also begins this weekend, Saturday June 6, and will include cultural programming at Centennial Square alongside the market.  Please help to spread the word of both the cultural programming and the market, so we can see as many new 'feet on the street' as possible.  Please remember that Navy Street, from Church to Lakeshore, will be closed during market hours of 8am - 2pm.

Below is a list of vendors at the farmer's market.

Blyleven Farms - fruits and veggies
McNiece Fruit Farm - fruit and veggies
Pillitteti Estate Winery - wine
The Flower Lady - cut flowers
