Construction Updates

Dear BIA members,

Please see below for updates on current construction projects:

As per previous email, construction on Reynolds north of Lakeshore begins today.  The road will be closed to traffic on a rolling basis as required.  Their intent is to have it either open or flagged access whenever possible.  The rolling closures will continue for approximately 4 weeks including repaving of base asphalt (won't be closed entire time but off and on during this period).

Reynolds south of the Lakeshore will have base asphalt installed in the next week or so.  This work will take about three days and require road closure.

Private driveway access for both sections of Reynolds will be maintained whenever possible, however you may need to ask the flag-person or construction staff to grant you access/move barricades.  There may be times access is not possible.

Allan watermain work will continue over this next four week period as well.  This will require flagged vehicle access.  Businesses on Allan who will be affected by water shut offs will receive notification 48hr in advance and then in person the day of.  The construction company indicated the shut off periods would be fairly quick.

The construction company's goal is to keep both projects moving as quickly as possible so they can be out of the area completely before Santa Claus Parade (might need to pave after).  They cannot work on Reynolds and Allan at the same times, so will move between the two as progress on each section permits.
