14th January 2014

A warm intrepid welcome back.  We've got an exciting seminar line up this term including a couple of evening events -see details about the Chasing Ice event on the 3rd February below.

This week we have an exciting launch of our Spring 2014 seminar programme.  The first speaker of the term, James Borrell will be telling us about an expedition he was on to the Dhofar Mountains, Oman.  James is also a promoter of Citizen Science (he dedicated 2013 to a year of promoting citizen science) and he also wrote this article for undergraduates which we thought some of you might find useful, on 'How to chose your undergraduate dissertation topic and get it published'. He's a great speaker with a wealth of experience. Come meet him! -this Thursday, 1pm, Pyramid Room.
