ANTHOLOGY READAROUND SATURDAY

Let Women’s Words Feed You

Join us for this special opportunity to meet our founder as we celebrate the roots and branches of Women Writing for (a) Change

Dear friend:

We’re hosting our virtual Community ReadAround of the Anthology this Saturday at 3 p.m., and we’d love to see you there! Enjoy readings by the artists and writers of the Roots and Branches edition of the Anthology, including our founder, Mary Pierce Brosmer; past Cincinnati Executive Director Diane Debevec; sister affiliate owner in Willamette Valley, Oregon, Stephanie L. Wilson; and our own high school senior intern, Kaysyn Jones.

We’ll have time for Q&A, individual readings in small groups with other writers and artists of the anthology, and even a bit of writing to document our experience.

We hope you’re able to join us! Register HERE soon we we know you’re coming! Details below.

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO LATELY

National Poetry Month Festivities Sparkle!

With the pandemic lifting, we’ve enjoyed many opportunities to meet in person this month, including the St. Aug PoetFest, Blooms and Galore, and the Sunshine State Book Festival last Saturday, and the First Coast Poetry Showcase on Sunday. Our high school interns really had the opportunity to shine at the PoetFest, thanks to the efforts of Ruth VanAlstine and Sharon Scholl, and intern Kaysyn Jones won an award for her poetry! This month also was special because we launched our first public high school circle called CURRENTS, and announced our first Author Showcase [for Women Authors], on the calendar for Saturday, May 14. Hope to see you there for this inaugural event!

“I know I am from infinite lives, of infinite love, of dreams, of truths, of perpetrators, of victims. I name the dark while recognizing the light. And I am rich for this knowing.”
