In continuing the theme of November being National Gratitude Month, I am going to focus all the WisdomWednesday tips this month on different ways to bring gratitude not only into your life, but into your daily practice.
Tip: Be Grateful for the Difficult People In Your Life
With tomorrow being Thanksgiving, many of you are likely going to be having family meals with those you love. And for some, you may be with people that are challenging, that give you anxiety, or in which you've had conflict (or possibly still do have conflict.)
So here's the reminder...There's gratitude in everything, if you look for it.
And so, on this holiday, allow your gratitude to extend to the difficult people in your life. For it's within those challenged relationships in which you're reminded of who you want to be, what your values are, as well as how to extend kindness to others.
Gratitude is always a choice. It doesn't take away from what your struggles are, but it helps you to shift your attention to the positive. The more you look for the good, the easier it is to find.
I wish you a peaceful, abundant and delicious holiday. Enjoy every bite!
I'm grateful for you!!
