Tip: Get to know yourself in the here and now
 
We grow, we change, and we go through life transitions. We have relationships, have children, and maybe even some unhappily-ever-afters. We have trauma, we have triumph; we have pain and we have success.

And through all of this life we are living, we tend to hold the same story or belief system in how we identify ourselves to be. And we don't often revisit that definition of self to see if it still applies for where we are at in our lives at this very moment.

Or you’re so busy taking care of others, you don’t know who you are outside your roles. 

The value of getting to know yourself now is that you become free when you shed the old stories or beliefs about yourself that no longer serve you, and reconnect to the pieces of you that you want to continue to nourish and grow.

What a beautiful journey to embark on at the beginning of a new year and a new decade. And remember, it may not necessarily be about finding yourself; it's about discovering yourself.

If this resonates but aren't sure how to discover who you are, start simple by looking at your likes/dislikes, what your values are, what your interests or passions are, what you like to do if you had an afternoon or weekend to yourself. No bit of information is too small to pay attention to.
