Happy Thanksgiving week to you!
During this holiday season, I invite you to consider the idea of Thanksliving, not just Thanksgiving. What's the difference you ask?
Well, me to me, it's about embodiment. Thanksgiving is about giving thanks for what we are grateful for - seems obvious, I know!
But Thanksliving is about living in the space of gratitude and thankfulness. It's an ongoing process. It's not just a one and done "Thank You." It's about how you are living and exuding gratitude all year long.
Thanksliving is about using gratitude as a tool for managing struggles or pain or discomfort. It's about expressing to others why you appreciate them, rather than just thinking it. Thanksliving is choosing to focus on the thoughts that serve you and your practice, as opposed to getting stuck in negative reactive loops.
Thanksliving is a choice. And just like mindfulness and meditation, it's a practice. It's an intention that is always available to you.
