Looking for Host families for Italian Exchange students
For the last 20 years, Lowell has been running an Exchange student program with a school in Italy. In February there will 25 Italian students coming to Lowell.
The Italians are arriving FEBRUARY 5th (afternoon) directly to Lowell and they are leaving FEBRUARY the 14th from Lowell.
They are from Parma
, a very pretty city in Northern Italy named as the 2020 Italian capital of culture (https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2016/07/21/travel/what-to-do-36-hours-parma-italy.html
They are high school students (Junior and Seniors) form a very academic school similar to Lowell. They speak English very well!
Hosting families are required to provide room and board for their stay. Italians will come to school everyday with their host. Once at school, they meet with their Italian teachers and the all group in order to go touring the City. Only for one day they will stay in campus. Italian students come back to Lowell after their tours and from there they go to their hosting family. During the weekend the Italian students spend quality time with the hosting family.
We are looking for 7-10 families open to give these students the opportunity to have a memorable experience. In exchange, the Italian students will host their Lowell friends in Italy over the summer at no cost other than the flight!!!
If you know about families interested, please contact Chiara Pelagatti, Italian teacher at Lowell at email@example.com
or stop by ROOM W110 any time.
