Dear Friends

It is with regret that we write to inform St. John’s United that Annika,
our Spiritual Growth and Outreach Minister, has accepted a position with the
Halifax Regional Centre for Education. She has explained that this new position
will bring more balance to her family life and restore weekend time.  Annika is
working through the details of her timeline but it is anticipated that her call with
St Johns United will end at the end of March.  She has annual leave that will be
taken in advance. We will be sure to provide confirmation of her departure date
when that is finalized.

I know that we all wish her the very best, but it will be a loss to the St John’s congregation.  With any change such as this, we need to plot a new path
forward that will require flexibility and some creativity. The Official Board will be engaging with the congregation in the weeks ahead to plan for this transition.
For today, our focus is on making sure the news reaches everyone in a timely
manner.  The Official Board will be working with the various committees directly impacted by Annika’s departure and we commit to keeping you informed
throughout.

Blessings on behalf of the Official Board,

Tanya Nicholson
