From Acorncamps to Acorn
Dear Friends and Family,
Since our last update in January many things have happened.
Differently to the UK we've had the 2nd wave of Covid in January and before it was fully over, the 3rd wave hit Hungary and it hit worse than ever. The death rate per 100 thousand people being the worst across the world for a while. Everything shut again, all the schools and churches went online, close friends ended up in intensive care. Thankfully the vaccination program has been the fastest in the EU, for which we are very grateful, and have both had our first vaccine.
Closer to home we had our own battles as Zsófi's family was faced with her younger sister having cancer. We have again experienced the love and care of our Father in Heaven in a very personal and deep way. We have been challenged by what we preach as we had to live out our faith in these difficult times. And we praise God for showing Himself and His perspective to those who seek Him.
In our work we have changed the name of our organisation from Acorncamps to Acorn to reflect how over the past few years the focus of the ministry has shifted from the camps. Our main focus remains: training leaders in Bible-centred youth work across Hungary. Camps will still be a part of supporting the churches' youth work and we hope this will happen through partnership between Hungarian and British churches.

David, Réka and Emily having spent so much time with online learning and are a bit nervous returning to school in May. However, they are happy it is only for a month before the long Summer break begins. We're delighted that Réka's place in a bilingual secondary school has been confirmed for September.
Thank you for your ongoing prayers and support, and do drop us a line and let us know how we can pray for you.
