“Shark Tank"-esque contest proves wildly successful

Hilton Head Island has seen an increase in the number of businesses moving their offices to the Island, including technology companies and medical and health-related enterprises. Business owners are relocating to areas suited for their lifestyle and with its pristine beaches, stunning landscapes and wealth of amenities, Hilton Head Island offers business owners the best of both worlds. The Hilton Head Island Economic Development Corporation (HHIEDC) has described the Island as a “location where you can work, play and stay.”  With today’s technology, entrepreneurs have the power to work from anywhere and the HHIEDC plans to promote the Island as one of the best places in the world to relocate and grow a business.

Harbour Town Yacht Basin Named
Marina Of The Year

The Harbour Town Yacht Basin has been selected as the 2015 Marina of the Year by ValvTect Marine Fuels. The award was presented to Harbourmaster Nancy Cappelmann at the ValvTect Marina of the Year award dinner held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. ValvTect judges entries based on operations, commitment to customer service and environmental stewardship.

Charter One Realty Names Kelly Beine Chief Operations Officer

Charter One Realty has announced that Kelly Beine has been named Chief Operations Officer.  Kelly, who has more than 23 years of experience in the local real estate industry and joined Charter One Realty in 2009, previously served as Internet Communication Center Coordinator and Closing Coordinator for the agency.

As Chief Operations Officer, Kelly will be overseeing Human Resources, Project Management and day-to-day-operations for all 11 locations of Charter One Realty throughout Hilton Head Island and the Lowcountry.  She will be working out of the company’s Hilton Head Island office at 11 Park Lane, and managing all operations and human resources for the agency, which has grown to 129 full-time real estate sales professionals.
