LINKEDIN LEARNING:
Custom Collection Creation Service

Have you considered using LinkedIn Learning Collections as supplemental class resources?
Using collections is an effective method to provide students with an enhanced understanding of your class subject matter. LinkedIn Learning has over fifteen thousand videos covering diverse topics providing viewers with 24/7 access to learning and research. In addition, with the new Canvas connection joining LinkedIn Learning to your Canvas site, your students have even more tools to help them succeed.

OIT Training would like to help you take advantage of LinkedIn Learning Collections by offering to create topical collections to use in your teaching. Each collection is based on key topics you feel your students need more help understanding. To get started, complete our LinkedIn Learning Collection Request about your subject matter, providing OIT Training with keywords and topics you want to be included in your collection. When the collection is complete, you’ll receive a link to include in your Canvas course site. If you prefer to create the collections yourself but need a little help getting started, call the OIT HelpDesk and request a consultation from one of OIT’s professional trainers.

What’s New in QDA Miner Version 6.0?

Use QDA Miner’s mixed methods software package for analyzing a combination of qualitative and quantitative data. The new capabilities in QDA Miner version 6 help improve the content analysis process for coding, annotating, retrieving, and analyzing small and large collections of text data. The new grid display mode helps expedite the coding of open-ended content, such as support cases and survey responses, where data is organized in a table format. This table format allows research analysts to view and categorize data with a drag & drop interface and provides a better understanding of the major support issues that need to be addressed. Version 6 improves the visual display of the content analysis results using features such as an interactive word cloud diagram and a sophisticated quotation matrix.

List of the New Features:

Coding
  • New grid view mode for coding short text responses
  • Quotation matrices to display selected quotes by a chosen classification variable
  • Enhanced annotation feature
Analysis
  • Word frequency analysis and word clouds
  • Deviation tables to display the most frequent and least frequent codes for a chosen classification variable
Numerical Calculation
  • Numerical transformations, including common mathematical and statistical functions
  • Binning to convert continuous numerical variables into categories

  • Donut, Radar, 100% stacked bar, and area charts
