I don't know about you, but I find time on FaceBook much like shopping at stores like Meijers and Super Target. I get overwhelmed by the sheer volume of all that’s offered and I go into sensory overload and sometimes forget why I came there in the first place. So, in order to really talk with you without photos of tofu burritos and adorable children getting into the mix, I've decided to create a monthly newsletter.
In addition to shameless plugs for my business I will be sharing some of the things I've been reading and thinking about, as well as sharing stories and events happening in the community that I think would be of interest to you.
Now, for my plug:
What you might already know about me is that for 21 years I've been teaching weekly yoga classes, mostly to companies with a focus on stress management, and have also been facilitating the teacher training program at Cityoga for the past 12 years. I also guest teach at different teacher trainings and do an occasional workshop here and there, as well as doing corporate talks on “desk- top” yoga.
I've been doing some midlife soul searching as to what I'm called to do now. No easy task, this soul-searching, as my mind keeps tricking me into thinking that it is my soul and I get all confused! Isn't this the biggest reason we do yoga in the first place?
Anyway, bottom line is that I would like to promote my “desk top” yoga to companies in need of practical, sustainable tools for stress management.
I’d like to present in the formats of Lunch ‘n Learns as well as special functions such as conventions and employee benefits programs.
I'm soliciting your help in referring me to people you may know in Human Resources, events planning and convention management. As my grandfather once put it to me, “It’s not who you know, it’s who knows you that counts.” So, I'd like more people in these jobs to know me and what I offer. If you feel comfortable in making those connections for me, I would be most appreciative.
