do you ever wonder why

Blue = Sad?
I have been learning more about the sensory phenomenon synesthesia, and it got me wondering about the many metaphors we have that associate certain colors with emotions; seeing red when angry, going green with envy, having the blues... It prompted me to send out an open call for art that was blue, which is currently up in the Waterfall Arts hallway and on my site. You can read the narrative for the show, and my musings on "being blue" here.
Here are some of the submissions:
1. Bluebird - a collage zine by Emily Comfort
2. Untitled - A collage over cyanotype by Mike Fletcher
3. Moonlight Sketch - part of a series of photos by Derron Yuhara

Thank you to all who submitted!
