Celebration of Easter renews our hope and affirms our faith.
He has overcome the world. I invite you to read through John 13-17 these days. They are filled with the words of change and hope, sorrow and triumph!
The present trouble: our multinational Christian community held out against Covid for a year with very few mild cases. It changed in March 2021. The last two weeks felt like a battle ground – almost hourly news of another person or family testing positive and requests mushrooming to pray for friends and relatives who were taken to already overcrowded Hungarian hospitals in critical condition.
6 families within a 5 minute walk from our home are sick and about 30 missionary and local staff from our boys’ school have tested positive and are being quarantined for 10 days with no option of leaving their quarters.
God spared us from sickness and positioned us perfectly well to serve those who are sick. David calls it BEATTY SOUP KITCHEN. Making bread and chicken soup, shopping and delivering things to our sick friends and colleagues has become a part of daily routine! That’s what the body of Christ does!
Pray we stay healthy and continue to care for those who are sick!
Pray for our school principle Stephanie who has been in an ICU for 4 days now, pray also for Lori, a veteran missionary of 40 years who had to be admitted after 10 days of quarantining at home and waiting in a hospital waiting room for 24 hours.
