Last Chance to Buy Tickets for the Equality Brunch on Saturday, October 1

Tomorrow is the 13th Annual Equality Brunch: Not Going Back, presented by Texas State Senator John Whitmire on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 11:15 AM at the Post Oak Hotel.

Emceed by Lisa Foronda Harper, the Equality Brunch will raise funds to help us elect our slate of pro-equality candidates this fall during the midterm elections. The afternoon will include a special appearance by former Kansas State Representative Stephanie Byers, as well as our annual Caucus award presentations.

Tickets and tables are SOLD OUT. We look forward to seeing everyone for a fantastic event!

Register for the October Monthly Membership Meeting
This is a friendly reminder that our October monthly membership meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 5 at 7 PM on Zoom. We're asking you to register for the meeting here. This is an open meeting, and we will not be credentialing. Email membership@thecaucus.org with membership questions.

For Community Corner, we'll be joined by Koomah from The Houston Intersex Society.
Koomah is an intersex and genderfluid multidisciplinary artist, community organizer, and educator. Involved with several volunteer nonprofit organizations, Koomah is co-founder of The Houston intersex Society, board member of Transgender Foundation of America and Houston Transgender Unity Committee. Koomah serves as a legislative policy advisor and strategist for intersex related legislative efforts and speaks on intersex community issues in listening sessions with the US Department of Health and Human Services.

The Houston LGBTQ+ Political Caucus will be hiring members of our community to work at various poll places around Houston for the 2022 midterms. Poll workers will earn $15/hour and have flexible scheduling! If you are interested in being a Caucus poll worker, please complete this interest form to receive additional information. Questions?
