Rep. Al Green to Support H.R. 5730, the Protect Intersex Children Act

During Community Corner at this Wednesday's monthly membership meeting, Koomah, from The Houston Intersex Society, mentioned H.R. 5730, the Protect Intersex Children Act, a bill introduced by Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia. The bill would would prohibit medically unnecessary surgeries on intersex children in the foster care system. Congressman Al Green, who had joined the meeting as another Community Corner guest, heard about this bill and let The Caucus know that he will be signing on in support of the bill.
