DOC ADVENTURE CALENDAR

(All subject to Covid restrictions)

1.  Parys jol at Weltevrede Resort - 19 to 21 February

There are still a few campsites left so book now!  http://www.weltevrederesort.co.za/index.html .

It is only an hour's drive from Al-Berton to Parys and this will make a nice break for those of us who did not go away over the Xmas season.  Apart from cycling, there is also hiking, fishing, bird watching & 2 swimming pools - the kids will have a blast!

Saturday's ride - https://strava.app.link/5YZBfF1IYcb

Sunday's ride - shorter route of approx 60km.  This will allow us time to have a quick swim before we pack up and head home.

We are not holding a block booking so accommodation must be booked direct with them.  You can phone 056 818 1291 or email them on info@weltevrederesort.co.za

This will make a great weekend outing, out of Joburg, for the entire family.

2.  Vaal Ride - Sunday, 28 March

Details will be advised closer to the time.

But, in the meantime, you can arrange your transport from Stilbaai back to Rietvlei with Destiny Tours.  Contact Elsie (via WhatsApp) on 082 463 2887 or info@destinytours.co.za.

PS......Good news for those who do not want to ride the entire route.  Tommy will drop you and your bike off at the end of the tar road, past Suikerbosrand (approx  20km past the Circus).   It is only 43km from the new stop to Stilbaai.

Weekend Ride Schedule

 (subject to weather conditions)

Please continue to practice social distancing, i.e. DO NOT RIDE IF YOU HAVE HAD COVID until cleared to do so by your Doctor; no hugging;  do not ride if you have been in contact with anyone who is positive; do not ride if you are not feeling well; have your buff handy.  We all know the rules!
  • We love having 'newbies' joining the Beginners Group, but before you do, you must be able to ride at least 30km and/or ride 2 laps of Rietvlei.
  • Please check the average speed below and slot into the group relevant to your fitness level.
  • Routes may be changed on the day, subject to numbers and ride captains.
  • Groups will be split if too large.
