Letter From The Director

DenverArts.org has long been an important Denver institution, providing the community with information about gallery and exhibition listings, news and events. As the new director of the site, I am honored and excited for the opportunity to build on this tradition. I’d like to take a moment to talk about the new and exciting things coming up and how you can help create the future of the site with your feedback.

Bringing New Life To The Site

Along with cataloging the original content, the new site will continue to include exhibition listings as well as a new event calendar. You’ll be able to add the event information to Google Calendar or iCal, providing an alternative to using Facebook events. The information will be filterable for things like virtual events, artist talks, and more. There will also be a more comprehensive, and consistently updated list of galleries and venues. All of this will come with new ways to submit information to keep everything more consistent and sustainable. The new site will launch in spring 2021.

Community Feedback and Ideas

DenverArts.org has always been a community driven project, and moving forward it’s important to deepen the relationship with the community it serves. Over time, I can envision the site evolving to include more robust content, such as detailed critical writing, profiles of local leaders and educators, and a forum for cross-disciplinary discussions. But the future of the site ultimately depends on your feedback, and I want to hear your thoughts on how we can create better connections.

It’s also just as important for me to better understand what you want to see in the newsletter. I want to be respectful of your time and energy, and provide something you genuinely look forward to receiving. The best way to share your thoughts and suggestions is by filling out the brief survey below.
