Simply stunning! What a pleasure it is to finish what has been an immensely bustling and vibrant half term with the vivid memory of our Year 8 boys performing last night. (Video to follow in the next issue.)
As I said at the time, I don’t think I have ever seen a group of young performers undertake such a moving piece with such depth and meaning, the content of which was keenly attuned to the school having finalised the last plaque for the memorial wall that pays homage to those old boys taken from us by war.
With the outstanding professionalism of trained adult actors, Year 8D commanded the stage with true emotion and reverence.
All this... on top of the knowledge that we have had our swim team reach the national finals, and that those boys sitting their ISEB  and forthcoming examinations are performing exceptionally well in their mocks and feeling confident when I have had the opportunity to chat with them over lunch, is confirmation that the school continues to go from strength to strength.
Today alone Thomas and Kasper have presented on Jeans for Genes, the Big Band have played, our choir boys have sung an enchanting descant, it it Roman Day for our Year 3s and the tribes have had a go at creating the most beautiful Diwali patterns all over the Quad... and this is just a normal day at the Prep!
It is a privilege to be able to say to you that there is much to come over the remainder of the year and we look forward to seeing you after the boys and girls' well earned rest.
Have a splendid half term break!
