Good morning dear reader & welcome to my world this week. My topic today was just about all ready to post when the news of Christchurch has come through. As a matter of respect, I feel the need to take a week off.
However, before I do, I would just like to share with you briefly some comments made by my very dear friend & daughter of my cousin in Invercargill:
My heart is so broken.
For those who have lost loved ones. For those whose lives have been irrevocably changed forever. For Christchurch. For New Zealand. There is no sense in what has happened today.
This country should be a safe place. I am sorry, you came together as a group, collective in worship, in what should have been your safe place. Whether you were born here or not, it does not matter. You made New Zealand your home. And you were hurt in your home.
Today, we are living through history. Today will be looked back on as one of the worst days for all of us in New Zealand. I am sad we are all witnesses to this. It should not have happened. But it has.
But it will not define this nation. The attack today was the act of people who do not represent New Zealand, in any way. The way we come together & love one another in the aftermath ~ this is, & this will be the heart of New Zealand. 1
My heart is broken for our lost souls…. And my heart is broken for our loss of peace 💔
Thank you for taking the time to be with me once again. My hope is, the events of March 15th 2019 will make us as a country stronger. This is Kenn Butler in Paradise, Nelson, with my best wishes for another week… I look forward to being with you all again next week.
