Dear <<First Name>>,

Innova hosted the Monorailex 2015 Conference of the International Monorail Association (IMA) this past week in town. We had attendees coming from all over the world including China, Egypt, Germany, Switzerland, Canada and different States in the USA. There were excellent presentations by the speakers and a lot of sharing of technical knowledge and information took place at the Conference. As the President of the IMA, I am very proud of what this organization is becoming and the members and I are looking forward to Monorailex 2016 in Cologne, Germany.

Below you have a Thanksgiving message prepared by one of our Vice-Presidents, Rob Naples, who recently had the opportunity to take the place of his wife for a few days, a very inspiring story. Thanksgiving is coming soon and I take this occasion to thank our clients, our colleagues,  our Team, our friends and family for the opportunity to be of service every day.

Fall is here. Halloween has come and gone, and we are fast approaching Thanksgiving and the rest of the Holiday Season. It is during this busy period that we often forget to take the time to remember the truly important things in life. It is easy to do with so many things competing for our time: all the sports leagues are in competition; Hollywood starts its annual hit parade using the cold weather to bring us to the theater; and we have vacations to plan and use before we run out of days to use them in the year. Oh, and let’s not forget, there is this little thing called “WORK.”  That pesky thing that takes up about 50% of our week. In all this chaos though, sometimes we are presented with an opportunity that reminds us what is truly important in this life, and what we should be truly thankful for.

My wife sacrificed her career to be a stay-at-home mom when we started a family six years ago. She supports our family at home day in and day out, never stopping to take time for herself, while I continue to grow my career. This year I was able to arrange for my wife to take a “solo-cation”:  12-days by herself, away from Las Vegas, doing whatever she wanted. This also meant that I was now Mr. Mom for 12 days. I arranged my schedule at work so I could be at the office while the kids were at school, and then switch to Mr. Mom when our kids finished school for the day. Easy, right? It was exhausting. It was frustrating. I wanted to give up at times. I even used a lifeline, especially when my daughter spiked a 103 degree fever on the second day of my adventure. Through all the frustration, the anxiety, the sleepless nights, I can say without reservation: it was the most fulfilling 12 days of my life.

After this experience, I have a much closer relationship with my children than I have ever had before. I have a closer relationship with my wife than I have ever had before. It will forever be a prideful memory for me.

Every one of us has experiences in their lives that would not have been possible without the love, help, and support of other people, whether it’s a spouse, a family member, or a friend. This season is the time to remember and acknowledge those people, and if possible, pay it forward, not just back.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Rob Naples

Carlos attends Monorailex 2015

Carlos Banchik, current President of the International Monorail Association (IMA), attended Monorailex 2015 at the SLS Las Vegas Hotel & Casino this past weekend. With the subject of Think Elevated - Move With Monorail, the presenters at the conference allowed participants from all over the world to learn about the intricacies of running and operating monorails in urban areas worldwide and how to select public transportation systems.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5k Walk

Innova Technologies participated in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5k Walk at the end of October at the Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa. Our team, Areola Avengers, exceeded our goal of $1,000 and raised $1,190. We dressed in our custom super hero capes and proudly walked the 3.1 miles to support Breast Cancer. It was a fun activity for the office, and a great team bonding experience.
