Dear <<First Name (required)>>
Mental Health Research UK
is on the steering group of the ‘Right People, Right Questions’ project. This collaboration seeks to discover the top 10 research priorities for young people’s mental health.
As 75% of mental illnesses start before the age of 18, focusing on young people's mental health is key.
MHRUK is funding two PhD Scholarships which look at young people's mental health and we want to encourage others to do so by defining what the key questions are. By getting together, we can better direct limited resources towards tackling the key questions.
The project is a collaboration with the James Lind Alliance James Lind Alliance
and the McPin Foundation McPin Foundation
is co-ordinating it.
We want to hear from anyone who is concerned about young people’s mental health: whether young people themselves aged 11 – 25 with mental health issues, a parent or carer who is or has been concerned over their child’s emotional wellbeing, or a professional who works with young people in a clinical capacity or in other environments such as schools or youth clubs. Can you please help us by forwarding this email to anyone who might be interested in completing the survey?
The web site for the survey is www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/youngpeopleMHQ
. It only takes a few minutes to complete.
There is more about it on the website: www.mcpin.org/youngpeopleMHQ
I would be most grateful for any help you can give us.
