Children Enjoy Camp Cummer Thanks to HEAL Grant

The Cummer Museum of Arts and Gardens held several week-long summer camps taught by Museum Educators for children entering 1st through 9th grades. Seven children with Autism were integrated into the camp and spent the week creating and exploring.

The camp served hundreds of campers and gave them an enjoyable and new way to express themselves in medians such as painting, oils, colored pencils and clay. The program was designed to support the Duval County Public School's curriculum and state standards in Critical Appreciation, Creation Expression and Social Processing.
