“I usually am hesitant to bring my boys to public places like the Zoo, however we all ended up having a blast! We got up close and personal with some of the Jacksonville Jaguars, meeting and interacting with families, and spending the day at the Zoo. Our entire family is looking forward to this year's Zoo Walk.”
—Sheila, mother of two with Autism
The HEAL Foundation is excited about the upcoming HEAL Zoo Walk for Autism on Sunday, April 30 at 8:00 a.m. This walk raises funds to assist individuals and families with Autism in our local area, while bringing families and our Autism community together on one day for a special purpose. Below are some tips and pointers to help make the HEAL Zoo Walk accessible and fun.
Register in Advance
To register for the HEAL Zoo Walk and form a team, please visit our website. This fun family event and walk is accessible for all ages. The Zoo allows us to get a head start, before the doors open to the public. This makes the HEAL Walk a great opportunity to see the Zoo in a safe, understanding setting.
Children 12 and Under Free
The HEAL Zoo Walk makes it affordable for a family of four to spend the entire day at the Jacksonville Zoo! Register for the Zoo Walk and admission to the Zoo is FREE for children 12 and under, compliments of the Zoo. Only $15 per person for ages 13 and up.
