HOP TO IT READING - Hop to It Reading Logs for kindergarden through second grade are due this Tuesday, March 21st.  The students should have read 10-15 books (minimum of 10).  We would also love if you could throw in some non-fiction books too!  We will celebrate their accomplishments with a party at a future date.

Thanks so much!
Heather Bothe, Frostwood Librarian

I FEST - I-Fest is not just a festival, it is the month of education enrichment, fun decorations and cultural and geographic information and artifacts throughout the school.  The I-fest evening of food, crafts, games, and entertainment from around the world is April 29th.

As part of I-Fest,  several countries decorate their outdoor country themed educational tents and install displays in the indoor glass cases around the school.  It will be a great opportunity to show  the kids the diverse cultures from countries around the world.

Country themed educational tents are set up outdoor on the day of I-Fest.  You may need to use a table to display the items.

Glass cases are located inside the school building.  Each country case is decorated with its own traditional and cultural items in advance before I-Fest.  There are several glass cases on each grade level.  Each individual case is 50 inches long and 30 inches high and about 12 inches deep.

If any country would like to participate this year,  please contact Education Chair ,  Sukyoung Yoo at  or Hyekyung Dong at

Tori Shahbazi

PARENT WORKSHOP - SBISD invites you to participate is a unique family engagement workshop led by nationally known communications and family engagement thought leader, Kathy Leslie, author of the recently published book, The Politics of Authentic Engagement.

We invite parents to share your experiences, help us identify barriers to your engagement and provide insights to help SBISD strengthen our collaboration with you on behalf of your children.  Your voice is critical as we develop a new Family Education, Engagement and Empowerment framework for SBISD.

Now more than ever, the Spring Branch Education Foundation’s financial support is essential for SBISD’s students and teachers. SBEF is a 501(c)3 organization; your donation is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Each SBEF fundraiser keeps SBISD’s legacy of learning going!
