Frostwood General News

President's Message - Welcome back to both our new and returning Frostwood Tiger families! Frostwood brings together a community with varied talents and interests, and the PTA encourages everyone to use those unique skills to serve our students, staff and teachers, and other families.  We have an exceptional campus…in large part because of you!  We hope each and every one of you will join the PTA (if you missed it on the Big Form, you can still join!) and come together to make Frostwood a great school to call “home.”

Thank you to those who have spent the summer and first few weeks of the year working tirelessly to make the transition to our new year appear seamless!  We could not have done it without our parent volunteers, community partners, and teacher and staff support.

New this year…our Newcomers Chairs, Casey Rowland and Terri Tarwater, have revamped our mentor program.  Tiger Buddies will bring together experienced and new Frostwood families throughout the year, with the first event being Popsicles on the Playground on Sunday, September 20.  If you didn’t register on the Big Form to be part of this important program, please contact Casey or Terri, or visit the Frostwood PTA website for more information.

Please check the Frostwood PTA website, www.frostwoodpta.comfrequently this year for volunteer opportunities, important dates, information on events and activities, and easily accessible flyers and forms. Please contact me if you have any questions!
Suzanne Farrow,  2015-2016 PTA President

The Treasurer’s Corner - When making purchases for PTA events or your committees, remember the following three things:

  1. Be sure to bring the sales tax exemption form and not pay sales tax.  Copies can be found on the PTA website or in the Treasurer’s mailbox in the front office.
  2. Work with your committee to keep track of expenses and don’t go over budget!  Once you reach your budgeted amount, I can no longer write checks!
  3. When requesting a reimbursement, fill out a check reimbursement form, include your receipts, and leave in the Treasurer’s mailbox.  Again, copies of this form can be found on the PTA website or in the Treasurer’s mailbox.

Please contact Soo Hwang,  (646) 246-0420, if you have any questions.
