SCHOOL HOLIDAY- Just a reminder that there is no school on Friday, April 14th. Enjoy a safe and happy holiday weekend with your family!

We are thrilled to announce the results and proceeds of the 2017 Frostwood Rocks Gala & Auction. With the help, generosity and participation of Frostwood families, faculty and staff, as well as the support of area businesses, we were able to meet all three of the goals set for this year!

GOALS:

1. HAVE A FUN EVENT THAT BOOSTS SCHOOL SPIRIT.

This year, the Frostwood Rocks auction theme was selected with the intention of celebrating our amazing school and all of the ways it rocks. The Frostwood Rocks theme was also embraced by +Works, Carnival and Field Day.

To promote this fun message of school spirit, we wrote the “Frostwood Rocks” theme song and produced the accompanying music video. For your last chance to download “Frostwood Rocks” CLICK HERE and scroll down the homepage. The theme song was taught in music class, and touchingly performed by students at the IFest Parade last fall.

No celebration of Frostwood would be complete without honoring our incredible faculty and staff, and acknowledging the school’s history in the community. On Auction night, the faculty, staff and parent alumni were recognized. The standing ovation for Mr. Jesse was the highlight of everyone’s evening! For one more look at how some familiar faces have changed over the years CLICK HERE

Auction night was a fun and successful event in large part because of Westin Memorial City. The professional staff, beautiful spaces and state of the art A/V elevated the atmosphere of the event, making Westin the perfect venue for us all to “Rock Out” in honor of Frostwood.

2. GROW THE CELEBRATION TO INCLUDE MORE OF THE FROSTWOOD COMMUNITY.

Year after year, parents enthusiastically participate in Auction night. We thought this year we’d try to get the kids more involved! By filming their “Air Guitar Challenge” videos, learning the “Frostwood Rocks” theme song, showcasing their diverse talents at the “Frostwood’s Got Talent” show, and participating in the “Art Guitar Contest”, our students were given many opportunities to contribute and celebrate alongside their parents.

“Frostwood Rocks” was embraced and celebrated by parents, students, and Frostwood teachers and staff. A total of 482 tickets to the Frostwood Rocks Gala & Auction were sold this year, including 6 tables of faculty and staff!

3. RAISE $300,000+ TO PAY FOR THE AWESOME PROGRAMS FROSTWOOD OFFERS OUR STUDENTS.

By the seemingly endless generosity and commitment of our parents, area business, faculty and staff, we were able to meet our fundraising goal! The net proceeds, raised auction night and throughout the schoolyear, totaled… DRUMROLL PLEASE….. $307,000.

We are incredibly grateful for all of the support we received this year, and so proud to be a part of this amazing community. Frostwood truly ROCKS!

PEACE, LOVE, ROCK & ROLL!

Signing off,
