Spring has truly sprung, and here are some photos to prove it! I took these photos on the last day of my annual Vipassana meditation course that I sat this month. I was grateful to have to space to just sit and meditate and be silent. The course itself was challenging at times, but with new understandings of things I feel better prepared to face the ever-continuing ups and downs of life! And talking for a living means that I especially enjoy the opportunity to be quiet for long periods of time. Though of course, I do enjoy talking, so I have been making up for lost time this week!

I am sending out this newsletter a bit later than usual, as I was waiting on some exciting news to be made all official: I am moving to a new office this Thursday! It's all happened rather suddenly, but when the opportunity arose to be in an office building that I've had my eye on for years, I leapt! I will be sad to leave my room above Suzy Spoon's Vegetarian Butcher, as it has been such a lovely space to work upstairs from for these past two years.

However, my new office is only 3 minutes walk away from the old one - still on King St - so I'll be still heading to Spoon's for lunch! From this Sunday October 4 you will find me at 5/134 King St Newtown, opposite Missenden Road. Still by-appointment-only, and I will buzz you up when you arrive for your appointment!

The next newsletter will have photos of the new space, though it will look pretty much the same as it does now, just a few differences here and there. I've also changed my work hours slightly - my work week is now Sunday 11am - 6pm and Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 11am - 7pm (so no more Thursdays, but an hour extra added onto Monday - Wednesday!)

And if you want to read about the rest of my trip to New York City this year, you can read the final instalment on my website. This blog tells all (mostly all!) of what happened at the Readers Studio - the biggest tarot conference in the world!

Tarot Card of the Month ~ Two of Cups

For those who are reading this newsletter for the first time, every month I talk about the tarot card that appears the most in the month's tarot readings. Even though the cards will always have individual significance, a commonly occurring card can also have a say about what's going on for the whole community.

I often feel a sense of peace when I see the Two of Cups. Soothing in its approach, it reminds us to connect firstly with our dreams and then with the world.

It speaks of a commitment of a deeper kind. The quiet, private promises we make to ourselves that strengthen our resolve to be safe and connected to a way of loving that inspires hope.

And now I'll move out of the way and let the Two of Cups cards I've selected from my collection, talk to you directly.

Two of Cups from Kim Krans' The Wild Unknown Tarot says, "Meet me by the night river when your heart is feeling wild. Offer up your dreams to the universe - even the ones that you think might be considered silly and undoable. Whatever happens next, at least you will have the experience of being authentic in your capacity to push at the structures that bind you."

Two of Cups from Karen Kuykendall's Tarot of the Cat People says, "Stand strong in your yearning to be whole, and do your best to shed the conditionings that say you are anything less than equal. You don't need another to be whole, yet if you deal with people from this strong space, you have no need for anything but gracious love."

Two of Cups from Sara M. Pellerin's Fractal Tarot says, "Woahhhh, unfold, collapse, reconnect and unite, knowing that the process of growing means learning a new dance with those closest to you. It doesn't have to be scary, and you don't have to be unkind to each other as the change takes place. Remain curious and full of wonder as you learn new ways of connecting with what is most important."

'Til next month, best wishes, and I look forward to meeting you in my shiny new space,
Sarah Barry (Psychic Sarah)

P.S Want more tarot stories? I post a Tarot Reading for the Collective on my website every month.

This month I used The Wild Unknown Tarot by Kim Krans, and one of the cards that came up was the Two of Cups, so read on for more information about that archetype, as well as other tales that will encourage you when you are in a rut! Don't worry that it's the end of the month and that this a reading for September - the wisdom of the tarot applies at any time of the year :)

[I generally post the Tarot Reading for the Collective in the first week (or so) of every month.]

I make and sell my very own delicious blend of chai tea - Psychic Sarah's Queen of Cups Chai. I personally select, grind and blend the spices and package every single packet of chai.

1 packet of 220g chai costs AUD$20, and will make you at least 48 large cups of delicious authentic chai tea. (That's 16 litres of chai - have a party!) Read a review about it here.

You can drink a pot of my chai in-house and/or purchase a packet to take home with you at Suzy Spoon's Vegetarian Butcher, Newtown, and Petty Cash Cafe, Marrickville. Or you can order it online - I ship all over the world!
