Welcome to the final newsletter for 2015! To celebrate I have assembled a decidedly quirky collage for you. The featured leg is my own, with a tattoo of the Strength tarot card (tattoo by Megan Oliver of Inner Vision Tattoo. I've had it since 2009 but I'm sharing it with you now, as this month's Tarot Card of the Month is Strength (more about that below). The weird but wonderful shell lamp is a new resident in my tarot office, and the final photo is of the 'Love' lights that are strung up on a balcony in Redfern.  It's always nice to be reminded about love!

Over the past few months, many of you have been choosing to use the Wild Unknown Tarot when you come for your reading. This is a beautiful deck that I love using for myself and for others. In fact, I love the deck so much that I am now selling them at my office! The shipment arrived on Friday and I am excited to be able to share them with you.

Usually this deck is sold for US$40 plus US$20 shipping to Australia, coming to nearly AUD$85. You can buy this deck directly from me for just AUD$55, and if you arrange with me to pick it up from my office, then there is no postage fee! I can send it to you anywhere in Australia for $8 postage, so you’ll still be saving over $20. Let me know if you live in the Inner West of Sydney, as there is a good chance that I could swing by your home on my trusty bicycle to hand deliver your Wild Unknown Tarot deck at no extra cost (let me know if you want me to drop off some of my Queen of Cups chai as well!). You can see what the deck looks like on the Wild Unknown website, and you can also see some of the images in a recent Tarot Reading for the Collective on my website.

I haven't put it up for purchase on my website yet, so if you want a deck now just email me at sarahthepsychic[at]gmail[dot]com.
And now I would like to make a public service announcement: on Christmas day there will be a full moon. What's the big deal with that, you say? Well, friends and colleagues of mine who work in mental health, report that they are busiest when the moon is full, and when it is hot. Keeping in mind that it is Summer here in Australia, and that Christmas day can be challenging for many people (whether they are grieving those who have passed, alone when they don't want to be, or dealing with difficult family dynamics), this has the potential to be a rather interesting day!

Of course, life is what we make of it, yet it may serve you well to make sure that for at least some point on that day you have some quiet time. By spending some time alone, even if for only a short period,
or at least spending time with undramatic people, you will no doubt give yourself the opportunity to be less overwhelmed by the issues that may be swirling around you.

Whatever you do on this day, whether you actively celebrate it or have no sentimental attachment to it whatsoever, may it be safe and rewarding.

Thank you for supporting my business this year, and every year! It means a lot to me when I hear of people telling their friends and family about my work. With so much happening online nowadays, it's wonderful to know that word-of-mouth is still Queen! I look forward to connecting with you next year for readings, or via email correspondence or simply by you reading my newsletters and my blog.

I'll still be around during the late December and early January period, though with slightly limited hours. I will work my usual hours up until the December 23. I won't be working on Sunday December 27 or Monday December 28, though I will work on Tuesday December 29 and Wednesday December 30. I won't work Sunday January 3, but from Monday January 4 onwards it will be business as usual, so come at me with your New Year readings! :)

Tarot Card of the Month ~ Strength
For those who are reading this newsletter for the first time, every month I talk about the tarot card that appears the most in the month's tarot readings. Even though the cards will always have individual significance, a commonly occurring card can also have a say about what's going on for the whole community.

What a pleasure to see Strength dance across my tarot table on numerous occasions this month! Surely we are all in need of a dose of Strength? When I see this card I am reminded of how powerful it is to hold love in our hearts, and share that love openly and honestly with those around us.

It can be such a brave act to let people know that we are grateful for their presence in our lives. Though we may fear being rejected, when we walk with Strength it really doesn't matter how people respond: the joy is in the giving.

I also see Strength as a non-conformist, out to explore life in a way that is truly unique. On my Strength tattoo, the bearded strong-lady is ripping apart a book with 'Conform' written on the cover. Ripping apart conformity! I had originally wanted the title to be 'La Conformité' - to be fancy - but it didn't fit. :)

And now for the various Strength cards in my tarot deck collection to show the different angles of this particular archetype.

Strength from Karen Kuykendall's Tarot of the Cat People says, "Explore the outer regions of your fears until they cease to hold you hostage. Choose your allies wisely and move away from those who would do you harm. Be inquisitive about what you discover."

Strength from Robert M. Place's Alchemical Tarot: Renewed says, "Hold as much power as you can, and be balanced in your approach. Take yourself to places where you can be seen by those who are unafraid of your self-assuredness."

Strength from Elisabetta Trevisan's Crystal Tarot says, "Draw on a strength that is as old as your great great grandparent's bones. Reconfigure that strength so that it resembles values that bring connection to your dreams. Invite only those who respect your boundaries, into your space."

And finally, Strength from Kim Krans' The Wild Unknown Tarot says, "Choose the soft way, the quiet way, which also happens to be the bold and courageous way. Bring yourself forward in a way that makes you feel as strong as a mountain, at the same time as perhaps bringing a tear to your eye. Open up, share your love with those who admire authenticity, and be happy.

May your days with Strength be dear to your heart,
'Til next month and next year, best wishes,
Sarah Barry (Psychic Sarah)
