Stop being so hard on yourself

Please. Why is it so difficult to see what we have accomplished and what we are capable of doing? Instead we bring a magnifying glass to where we fall short and declare that all the negative things we believe about ourselves are true.

Mistakes, errors, imperfections and short-comings are part of the plan. They are what give us humility. They are what make us relate, laugh and generate understanding.  Is it so hard to believe that you're acceptable as is?

Accepting yourself as you are doesn't mean staying complacent. It means that you don't have to do anything to be worthwhile. You no longer have to strive to be accepted or liked. You can be who you are without fear of rejection or failure.Your inner critic doesn't get the final word.

Thrive Therapy can help you pursue the life you know you're capable of having by changing the way you think and feel about yourself.

"Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved."

-- Helen Keller

Insurance coverage is one of many factors when deciding to go to therapy and who to see. Being an in-network provider creates more accessiblity for individuals seeking help. Thrive Therapy is an in-network provder by nearly all insurance networks in the twin cities area.

Emotional eating is more representative of our emotional well-being than we give it credit. Maybe eating has become a form of medication or something you do mindlessly. You've described your eating is "out of control" or have gotten  to the point where you feel like something is wrong with you. There is likely more going on than meets the eye. Let’s get to the bottom of it.
