Dear Members,

We closed out 2019 with a bang and we hope everyone's year is off to a good start! The board wanted to take this opportunity to welcome our new Executive Director, Jesse Bussard with open arms. She has a strong background in craft beer, event planning, and non-profit management.

As you know, our previous ED took a job with New Realm Brewing Company in Atlanta, GA managing their beer education program. Jen's tenure with our organization was marked by tremendous growth and expansion of member services and educational opportunities. The board is deeply appreciative of her tireless efforts and commitment to the organization. Her commitment to ensuring a smooth transition was especially noteworthy as she logged many hours during nights and weekends following up on emails and training our new staff member. You can follow along with her adventures at @underthejenfluence on Instagram.

While many of you will get to meet with Jesse in Fort Collins in February, the board wanted to give her an opportunity to tell you a little bit about herself and her diverse background. Please take a moment to read her bio and feel free to reach out to her at if you'd like to learn more.
Jesse Bussard is best described as a renaissance woman. As co-founder of Fermentana, a community-based, fermentation-focused events promotions company, Jesse is co-creator of some of southwest Montana’s best beer events including Bozeman Craft Beer Week and the women’s beer education series, Beer Maven. Along with strong event management skills, Jesse possesses a decade of communications experience working with agriculture companies and publications through her business, Cowpunch Creative. Moreover, she is an occasional contributor to beer publications like Craft Beer & Brewing Magazine and October. An avid homebrewer, Jesse also serves on the board of southwest Montana’s Bridger Brew Crew and is Chapter Co-Leader of the Montana Chapter of Pink Boots Society. In her new role as Executive Director of the Craft Maltsters Guild, she looks forward to applying her diverse experience, entrepreneurial drive, networking savvy, and passion for building and strengthening communities to the betterment and continued growth of the craft malt industry.
We look forward to growing our organization in 2020 with Jesse's help and sincerely appreciate the support from our members.
