Greetings to you all,
We have exciting news from your Executive Planning Committee regarding our Annual National Conference. We have come to a consensus to conduct an in-person conference which we plan to take place around September. For those of you that are still concerned of COVID, you will still be able to join remotely. Much deliberation and time has been spent by your Executive Committee and they deserve a pat on their back.
We appreciate your patience as COVID continues to take a toll on us all. Let’s look at the bright side, new opportunities are coming as well as a new President on his way. We have been discussing the details of the conference and we want to reassure you with the utmost confidence that this will be the best conference yet. This will involve a new conference format with fewer workshops but these workshops will be targeted specifically on the day-to-day operations which will be of benefit to you.
One of the strongest virtues Indian people have and the true mark of intelligence is the ability to adapt. We will make the best of this adaption and we will be better for it. Both our programs and ourselves will gain more from this conference. We are looking forward to seeing you all in the fall. Please stay tuned for more information coming soon.
The P.L. 102-477 Tribal Work Group will be communicating with ‘477’ grantees regarding essential training for grantees.
Respectfully,
The Executive Planning Committee
Margaret Zientek Darrell Waldron
CoChair CoChair
Kathy Atkins Penny Norseworthy
