I am delighted to be starting 2019 with a few of my favorite projects. First is a rock-inflected show with Voicehandler at the Bottom of the Hill. Parts of the place are wallpapered with old show calendars, so it's easy to see why it was such an important venue for me when I moved within a few blocks of it in 2003. And then my acoustic improv group with Kyle Bruckmann, Tom Djll, and Kanoko Nishi-Smith will be playing the Oakland Free Jazz Society Anniversary Festival with a slew of great local acts. Both of these groups will have new albums this year, so stay tuned.
