"It is one of the beautiful compensations of life that no man
can sincerely try to help another without helping himself."
—Ralph Waldo Emerson
Hello <<First Name>>,
As spring brings back longer days and greener trees, we start to feel the seasonal shift and may think about transitions. Jackets get packed away, the short sleeves come out, and farmers market stands go from brussel sprouts to asparagus. The past two years have been full of transitions for those of us whose lives were touched by Dan’s generosity, humor, and love.
It is a testament to Dan’s work that the hunger relief fund he established in 2005 has continued to raise money for Atlanta’s hungry even after his passing. Dan was a man of integrity, good deeds, and humility, and we are honored to be able to continue his good work.
Thanks to the generous donations of people like you, theDaniel J. Appelrouth Hunger Relief Fundhas raised over $187,000 to help feed Atlanta’s hungry. As we enter this season of growth and renewal, we wanted to connect with you and thank you for being part of the community that sustains the important work Dan began.
We also ask that as you begin planting seeds in your flower or vegetable gardens, you consider helping to grow our ongoing work through a donation to the Atlanta Hunger Relief Fund. Every donation is very much a seed that grows into the collective gift of food for families in need of support. A single contribution of $100 can provide enough food to feed a family of 4 for a month. Your support matters.
We look forward to continuing to grow Dan’s legacy and the donations that sustain so many Atlanta families, and we thank you for joining with us in the work. If you'd like to continue Dan's legacy of helping Atlanta's hungry, you can donate here.
Thank you again, for your support. May you and your family be blessed with good health, love, and abundance.
