Tomorrow at 1:05 PM ET, Lady Luna reaches her fullness in the sign of the Virgin.

Virgo is sometimes dismissed as the chaste maiden, but her real story goes much deeper.

The word virgin didn't always have the same connotations it does today. In ancient times, the word simply meant sovereign. Like the Vestal Virgins who vowed never to marry during their terms tending the perpetual flame of Rome, virgin or maiden goddesses are often ones whose myths involve radical sovereignty, a complete ownership of oneself.

Take Artemis, who when granted one request by her father Zeus, asked to be allowed to never marry. When you look beyond the sexual implications of her virgin status, we can see her true sovereignty. By choosing total self-ownership, she stayed in touch with her sacred wildness forever.

That's not to say that we should remove all the sexual connotations of Virgo. Instead, consider the fact that these women, priestess and goddess alike, valued having control over her own decisions (sexual and otherwise) in the utmost.

As the moon radiates her silvery light tomorrow evening, think about how you can claim more sovereignty in your own life. Virgo is associated with habit and ritual, so this is a great time to rethink your everyday routine. if you've been operating on autopilot lately, ask yourself whether or not the small things you do day-to-day are adding up to what you've hoped to accomplish.

If not, it's time to shake things up. Don't be afraid to embrace radical self-ownership.

Under this Virgo full moon, ask yourself how you can get in touch with your sacred wildness.

After all, you deserve to be wild and free.

With sovereignty,

PS- I love that astrologer Chani Nicolas suggested "reading the poems of favorite feminist authors aloud to our lovers" as a way to honor this moon. I've been secretly calling this the Feminist Full Moon, so that's perfect. Besides, another excuse to blast the Flawless remix never hurt anyone!

MARCH 2015

Monday, March 2- Jupiter in Leo trine Uranus in Aries. Whatever began in September 2014 continues to unfold. Like I said in that month's forecast, fortune favors the bold! Take notice of any omens or opportunities that come up through the rest of this week, because they're probably lucky.

Thursday, March 5- Virgo Full Moon opposite Neptune and Chiron in Pisces. We already talked at length about the Virgo full moon, but it's worth noting that she's going to be opposite mystical Neptune and wounded healer Chiron. Visions, dreams, and synchronicities carry important messages, but the meaning can get muddled. Make sure you're not just telling yourself what you want to hear. It's a great time to get an intuitive reading from someone else.

Tuesday, March 10-  Mars in Aries trine Jupiter in Leo. Action meets expansion. This aspect is the equivalent of cosmic fireworks. Projects explode in the best way possible. You could have a lucky break, or get your big break!

Wednesday, March 11- Mars conjunct Uranus in Aries. This aspect is also fiery, but it's much more volatile. You (and those around you) could be more accident prone today, so be careful. The good news? You're able to make some meaningful strides towards your goal of choice if you take an unorthodox course of action.

Thursday, March 12- Mercury into Pisces. You'll feel a big shift as the Trickster moves from detached Aquarius into empathic Pisces. Instead of thinking through a problem, you begin to feel your way. Devotees of Danielle LaPorte's Desire Map know what I'm talking about.

Saturday, March 14- Saturn retrograde in Sagittarius. Saturn goes retrograde for roughly half of every year, giving you time to internalize and implement the lessons you learned while he was direct. He'll revisit Scorpio over the summer, allowing you to get closure on any lingering issues from that period. Saturn rules discipline, structure, and ambition, so during the next six months you have a gorgeous window in which to revise your professional strategy.

Monday, March 16- Uranus in Aries square Pluto in Capricorn. If you're an astrology lover, chances are good you've heard Mystic Medusa's excellent rants about these aspects. This is the final alignment in a series of shifts that have been revolutionizing culture worldwide since 2012. Outmoded patterns just don't work anymore. Think back through how you've evolved since then, give yourself a pat on the back, and breathe a huge sigh of relief.

Friday, March 20- Pisces New Moon Eclipse. Mark this day on your calendar if you haven't already. This eclipse takes place at 29 degrees Pisces (the very last degree of the whole zodiac!) on the day of the spring equinox, where the wheel of the year turns once more. This is liminal space at its best. It's rebirth at its finest. Take advantage of the magical vibes and set your intentions for how you want to transform your life this year. They'll have serious power behind them.

(Elemental Astrology goes live!)

Wednesday, March 25- Sun in Aries trine Saturn in Sagittarius. This aspect shines golden beams on your career and ambitions. You may get a "golden opportunity". Fire signs are in play, so it's best to take an active approach instead of waiting for something to come to you. Make your own luck.

Friday, March 27- Venus in Taurus square Jupiter in Leo. This aspect keeps coming up, so it must have more lessons to teach! Keep thinking about what roles luxury and pleasure play in your life. How can you find nourishment in the simple things? Challenge: how can you find elegance in your life without spending any money?

Monday, March 30- Mercury into Aries. This is another marked shift, this time from the spiritual to the physical. Dreamy Pisces loves to daydream, but Aries puts those dreams into effective action.

Tuesday, March 21- Mars into Taurus. The warrior planet moves from his home sign into Venus-ruled Taurus. He's not the most comfortable in this languid sign, but it is a lovely time for creative projects. During this transit, make your life beautiful.

Confession: I've been feeling pretty exhausted lately. Are you feeling it too? If you are, you might like my recent post on how to stop your energy drains.

If you're new to my Sincerity Sunday series, it's a feature where I'm transparent with a purpose: helping you live a better life. So far I've talked about self-improvement overwhelm, things I love to use in my business, Theresa Reed's delicious Soulful Proprietor retreat, and why Mercury retrograde is not an excuse

This month, I took a break from #STARSANDCARDS in lieu of a few behind-the-scenes peeks into my life and biz. You'll be seeing more of these in the future!

#STARSANDCARDS isn't over yet. I'll be posting the last six cards throughout March. After that, keep you eyes on your inbox for a very special #STARSANDCARDS announcement. That's all I can say for now, but I promise you're going to love it!

Hi, I'm Amelia.

I'm an astrologer and tarot reader, but really, I teach people how to live by the rhythm of the stars. My mission? Making the cosmos crystal clear. Because the arcane should be accessible.

Most often, I write about the sacred arts and intuition at The Midheaven. It's my love letter to the modern mystic. Come say hello!

Let's make some magic!
