Words & Music: Douglas Adams + A Perfect Circle = Catchy Song x Bizarre Video
Every month, we bring you a writing-related music video.
To accompany a song from the U.S. rock band's first album in 14 years, A Perfect Circle recently released an odd video of endlessly upward-swimming dolphins. The upbeat song is titled "So Long, and Thanks for the All the Fish" — a nod to the fourth novel in Douglas Adams' The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxycomedy science fiction series — and it's filled with "time-traveling sounds of mid-2000s alt-rock" and references to everybody from Willy Wonka and Marilyn Monroe to Major Tom and Princess Leia. Check it out, and prepare for a nostalgic trip.
Words from Two Lakes Media Group Clients
"Our clients expect results fast. That's why I use Mike Popke as my secret weapon. For my McGraw-Hill book, Accelerate the Sale, manuscript editors commented that they had rarely seen a draft so clean. The senior project editor commented that it was a great read and that my voice came through loud and clear; 90,000 words and only six changes. That's a testament to Mike's exceptional abilities. I've worked with Mike for 20 years, three books and countless articles. If I write it, he edits it. And clients love it."
