New software application release - version 2.1.4 of the Bridge+More solution and read our usage hint - How to Skip

Dear <<First Name>> <<Last Name>>,

We are now launching version 2.1.4 of the Bridge+More software and this email is to inform those registered as administrators on a Bridge+More solution about the update. This update is a small update of our web software and a new tablet app (2.185).

We have to admit it have taken longer than expected to make the new app version as we had to make sure our automatic update system works with the Android 4, 5, 6, and 7 version - which all have different security principles.

We have made a number a small additions, changes and fixes - to mention a few:
  • We now support pair tournaments up to 64 tables per section / session
  • We can now import very larger tournaments to our list of references game - Marit Sveaas IBT 2017 as an example.
  • Transfer of a club's results to the Norwegian Federation made even simpler

Usage hint - How to Skip:

I have learned a new word - Yvirsitari - and you can consider what it means - it is a Faroese word - and we offer different methods to handle it!

On the tablet - When it is your turn to be "Yvirsitari" you can use the Skip button on the tablet in two different ways:
  • You can press Skip once and the cards are ejected - and without inserting any cards you press skip until you see next round - then insert the cards and wait for the dealer to ask for next deck (like when you start playing). You will press Skip at the first screen of a board as illustrated below.
  • As some players would like to see the cards they do not play you can get the cards ejected as a normal board and simply instead of bid, etc. just press Skip and then get next deck ejected. You will press Skip at the last screen of a board as illustrated below.

On the web - Use the Results page's Not played option. It is a part of the Corrections feature (click the  ):

While you are waiting for us to launch our Teaching option notice you can actually use the Skip function on the tablet (the later method of the two mentioned) to control a number of boards - for example for a teaching session - either by having all the tablets in front of you and do the slipping yourself or by instructing the players how and when to use the skip function.

Remember, we always welcome comments and suggestions or if you have update issues – please contact us at and please remember to register for our newsletter here.

Best regards,

Kren Nielsen
