As we approach Christmas, I bring you special greetings from our Diocesan Staff and our Diocesan Leadership.
I put up my Christmas decorations early this year, as I have the past couple of years—and you may have as well. As I placed ornaments on the tree, there was a wave of nostalgia as I remembered Christmases past. I experienced that longing for times when things seemed better or easier. It is a familiar emotion at this time of year—nostalgia.
The diocesan offices will be closed from Christmas Eve through New Year's Day, reopening Tuesday, January 3. From all of us, have a merry Christmas and a blessed, relaxing holiday with your loved ones!

Oficinas diocesanas cerradas por vacaciones
Las oficinas diocesanas estarán cerradas desde la víspera de Navidad hasta el día de Año Nuevo, y reabrirán el martes 3 de enero. ¡De parte de todos nosotros, que tengan una feliz Navidad y unas vacaciones bendecidas y relajantes con sus seres queridos!
Ya que nos acercamos a la Navidad, te saludo especialmente en nombre de nuestro personal diocesano y nuestro liderazgo diocesano.
Decoré mi casa con decoraciones navideñas un poco más temprano este año, como lo he hecho en estos últimos años, y es posible que tú también lo hayas hecho así. Mientras ponía los adornos en el árbol, sentí los efectos de la nostalgia, y recordé las Navidades pasadas. Añoraba los momentos en que las cosas parecían mejores o más fáciles. Es una emoción familiar en este tiempo del año: la nostalgia.
