Friday 4 September 2020
The BIG news this week for Myross Bush School students is the development of our new scooter track! This project is being funded by the Friends of School, through money raised by the 'This is Me' Journal and topped up by the Community Trust South. Concept development began in Term 3 2019 and the School Board approved it in Term 4. Our contractors Fulton Hogan are making quick progress and believe it can be finished by the end of next week! We are working towards adding plants around it shortly and having the formal opening at the Arts Extravaganza on the 24 September.
Congratulations to Mrs Irene Tresidder who 36 years ago this week, began her journey at Myross Bush School.
We also celebrate Mrs Sue Blackmore for reaching 22 years this term.

It is great to have Carla and Ricky from Sport Southland's "Made to Move" contract working with a group of our senior students every Friday. As part of this initiative through physical activity they will:
  • Build an understanding of personal strengths
  • Foster leadership skills
  • Develop an understanding of and set personal goals to develop their holistic wellbeing based on Te Whare Tapa Whā
On Thursday, four of our students visited the Te Tomairangi Marae in town as part of the ‘Manaaki Marae’ project. This project aims to build stronger connections with our local Marae through community service once a month. We are one of six primary schools who are involved. This week Hoani, Lachlan, Kaelah and Hanatia had a turn and did some solid ‘mahi’ (work)  representing Myross Bush School well.

The school wide trip to the nursery at Otatara next week has been postponed until a later date. More information later.
Large table for sale. In good condition. 2.4m by 1.2m (at widest point). Make an offer by ringing the school office on 03 230 4817.
Are you unsure about what happens at school for each of the Covid Alert Levels?
