Doctors of the World makes available to the Safe Surgeries Network leaflets with health and wellbeing information for young refugees and unaccompanied asylum-seeking children (UASC) living in the UK. These guides were produced in partnership with the British Red Cross (BRC), PositiveNegatives, Transbless Translations, and young people taking part in the BRC's Refugees and Befriending Project in London. They cover healthy living, mental health, the NHS, and sexual health and are available for free in 10 languages:
English, Albanian, Amharic, Arabic, Farsi, Kurdish, Oromo, Pashto, Tigrinya, and Vietnamese.
Please share with your staff members and with others in your network, in this way we can help young people make healthy decisions and inform about how to access the health system in the UK.
