Blaenavon Heritage Town is gearing up for the annual Blaenavon Winter Wonderland on Saturday 5 December 11am-4pm, a real treat for all the family. With a traditional Victorian fun fair and covered Christmas Market selling quality gifts. Enjoy Christmas carols and festive fun while you explore this special Heritage Town.
Santa and his elves will be making a return visit with his real reindeer. With a children’s Christmas cookery academy and Christmas craft workshops at Bethlehem Court, find something for all the family!
This year we also welcome performances from Blaenavon Town Band, and the Blaenavon Heritage VC Primary School Choir. Winter Wonderland will showcase this special Heritage Town featuring some unique independent shops, start your Christmas shopping in Blaenavon!
And make sure you visit the Blaenavon World Heritage Centre where Christmas craft activities for both children and adults will be taking place throughout the day. Enjoy Christmas Carols from the brass band whilst enjoying a mince pie and pot of tea at the Heritage Tea Room

Trains are filling up for the Blaenavon Heritage Railway’s Santa Specials. They are usually completely booked so don’t leave it too late. Each child gets a personalised present and the adults enjoy a sherry and mince pie. Bookings can be made on the website PBRly.co.uk
2015 UNESCO UK World Heritage Youth Summit Conference
Between 20th – 22nd October the Blaenavon Industrial Landscape World Heritage Site successfully hosted this unique event. It brought together young people not just from the UK but also from further afield to celebrate and discover how World Heritage and culture can change the world for the better. Inspiring speakers and exciting activities were enjoyed by all!
