GOVERNOR'S CERTIFICATES for MENTORS
Honor your mentors for their volunteer service over the past year with a certificate of recognition from the governor. Please follow these steps to provide complete and accurate information. Certificates will be printed based on the information you provide.

  2. Download it
  3. Complete the columns as labeled
  4. Return the form by November 17 to mentor@iowaeda.com

YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID

A day long course introducing common mental health challenges for youth, reviewing typical adolescent development and teaching a  5-step action plan for how to help young people in both crisis and non-crisis situations. instructors through our grant. The Iowa Department of Education has trainers across the state and a grant to provide the training for free  There is a maximum of 30 participants and a minimum of 6 in each course. FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES

Kum & Go supports programs that help identify the needs of students and provide ongoing educational programs, strategies and resources to address issues affecting the youth in our communities.
Grants on this cycle are due December 1, 2017.

Mentoring professionals joined nonprofit colleagues from across the state at the 2017 Iowa Nonprofit Summit, October 24th and 25th in Altoona. Attendees enjoyed networking and professional development workshops on a wide range of topics in nonprofit and volunteer management, mentoring, and personal growth.

Special thanks to staff from IMP mentoring programs who shared their expertise in workshop presentations:
